When Bachelorette Games Go Wrong
So, I went to a bachelorette party recently and got a funny story out of it. The bride's maid of honor was in charge, and she had done a lovely job putting the party together.
She had invited all the friends of the bride, she had decorated everything beautifully, and she had planned lots of fun bachelorette games. And yet there was one game that turned out to be not such a good idea.
The bride's maid of honor had an idea. She thought it would be funny if everyone drank margaritas for this game and answered questions. If there was a question you didn't want to answer, you had to finish your drink. At first it didn't seem like a bad idea.
It was a large group of girls, and what girl doesn't like gossip and sharing funny stories? However, with some of the questions these ladies were coming up with, halfway through the game the entire place looked like an AA meeting. All the girls were stuck on this game; we didn't move on to one of the other bachelorette games.
Some of them ended up spilling their guts about their husbands or boyfriends while sobbing. It started out as funny stories about men, and now it had become a contest about who had the worst relationship!
Others who hadn't lost their nerve yet tried to console the sobbing girls before tossing in their own stories. Luckily, I was one of the few sober ones and sat back watching in horror. As I got ready to leave, I couldn't help wondering if there was going to be a wedding after all?
